Frankston ISD awarded DOJ COPS grant; Centegix staff badges issued, facility study planned

At the Oct. 21 board meeting, finance and facilities presenter Randi Westbrook announced that Frankston ISD was awarded a U.S. Department of Justice COPS grant to support school safety efforts. Westbrook also reported that Centegix safety badges have been issued to staff.
Trustees were advised that the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) will perform a facility study for the district, and the board discussed replacing wind screens at the baseball and softball fields. No construction contracts or dollar amounts were presented during the update.
