District safety plan updated with staffing changes; transportation annex now required by State

Director of facilities said the district’s New York State district-wide safety plan had minimal changes this year (staffing updates); the transportation annex added last year is now a required element and the plan will be submitted to NYSED and filed with the State Police.
Brial Graham, director of facilities, briefed the board on the district-wide safety plan and told trustees that this year's draft included no substantive changes beyond staffing updates. "The good news is this year's plan had really no changes outside of, staffing updates," he said. The presentation noted that the district had added an optional transportation annex last year and that the New York State education department now requires it.
Graham said the proposed plan was posted on the district website for the required 30-day public comment period and that no public comments were received. After board adoption the plan will be submitted to the New York State education department through the business portal and filed with New York State Police. Trustees did not receive public comment during the hearing and asked no substantive changes.
