The Mayor & Council division shows $113,000 in professional services for lobbyists, listed as Aaron Trujillo and Luke Otero. Staff also proposed increasing Commissioners' meeting pay from about $30 per meeting to roughly $120 per meeting to normalize compensation. Fleet Maintenance included a $50,000 line for restoration of the 1932 fire truck in advance of the Village Centennial in 2028; "This is an exciting project that we are hoping to complete before our Village Centennial in 2028," staff said.
The Lodgers Tax Fund was budgeted to support professional services ($75,000) and roughly $150,000 in events. Staff additionally noted that the state removed a revenue source tied to care of prisoners, shifting roughly $60,000 in costs to the general fund while revenues for that fund are minimal.
