Broaddus students advance in FFA, pass EKG certification and volunteer in community

Principals reported that the FFA Wildlife Team advanced to state, FFA Broadcasting advanced to Area, five Health Science students passed EKG certification, elementary grades attended a Super Scientific Circus event, and students volunteered at area nursing homes and for Produce Day.
School administrators highlighted recent student achievements and community service during the Nov. 14 meeting. Mrs. Holloway reported that the FFA Wildlife Team advanced to state competition and the FFA Broadcasting team advanced to Area. She also said Health Science students completed EKG clinicals and that five students passed EKG certification.
Mrs. Thorn said elementary Grades 2–5 attended the Super Scientific Circus at SFA, attendance incentives are being awarded (satisfactory percentage not specified), and students are preparing for the upcoming UIL competition. School groups also engaged in community service: Student Council members visited veterans at local nursing homes and National Honor Society members volunteered on Produce Day to distribute food to the community.
