The Edgewood Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved consent items A through J at its Aug. 20, 2024 meeting.
Items approved included the Lone Star Governance Monthly Monitoring Report for August 2024; the Lone Star Governance 2023-2024 Summary of Goals; second and final reading of TASB Policy Update 123 covering multiple local policy revisions; a $58,000 San Antonio Educational Partnership (SAEP) agreement for Kennedy High School, Memorial High School and Edgewood Fine Arts STEAM Academy; quarterly investment reports for April 1'June 30, 2024; and adoption actions for Great Minds and Zearn curriculum via referenced RFPs. The motion to approve the consent package was made by Trustee Michael Valdez and seconded by Trustee Dr. James Hernandez and passed 7-0.
The minutes also record approval of a board resolution authorizing the Assistant Superintendent of Business Operations to calculate no-new-revenue and voter-approval tax rates and confirmation of hazardous bus routes for the 2024-2025 school year. Board meeting minutes from July 29, 2024 were approved as part of the consent agenda.
