Board hears FY25 finance update; Evidence-Based Funding tops $12.5 million

Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations Eric Diehl presented financial highlights at the Aug. 20 meeting, reporting that the district will receive more than $12.5 million in Evidence-Based Funding for the coming year, a roughly 11% increase from the prior year. Diehl also said the Teacher Vacancy Grant funding fell about 33% this year and that those grant dollars had been used for sign-on and retention bonuses.
The board reviewed monthly reports showing salary totals (June $1,047,473.78; July $1,016,920.50) and attorney fees (June $6,253.35; July $3,573.75) before voting to approve payment of bills. The payment-of-bills motion was moved by Karen Turner, seconded by Jill Raymond, and carried 6-0.
