The Steger School District 194 Board of Education voted to approve a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Steger Education Association during its Aug. 20 meeting. The motion was moved by Nicholas "Nick" Hutchison, seconded by Buffy Garcia, and recorded as carried 6-0.
District human resources reported to the board that the MOU would change the cadence of tenured staff evaluations from once every two years to once every three years; minutes note the PERA committee met to review evaluation procedures and recommended removing the student growth component from evaluations.
