The Goose Creek CISD Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda (items 1–7) at the Sept. 9 regular meeting, including approval of the 2024–25 District and Campus Improvement Plans and multiple procurement and service contract extensions.
The district accepted a $12,500 donation from Chevron Phillips through the Goose Creek CISD Education Foundation designated for Partners in Education and a $5,000 donation from ExxonMobil via CyberGrants for San Jacinto Elementary. The board also delegated authority to the superintendent to approve individual remote homebound instruction waivers for medically fragile students who meet program requirements but cannot receive in-person instruction from a homebound teacher. The board approved extensions for CSP #20-020 (audiological/audiometric equipment and services) for one additional year and the second extension option for RFP #22-006 (annual fire extinguisher and kitchen system inspection) with Harbor Fire Protection, Inc. as primary vendor.
