Steger SD 194 board approves consent agenda, adds new hires and records resignations

The minutes list Alyssa Kuduk as a Registered Behavior Technician at $22.00 an hour; Amy Hein as a First Grade MTSS teacher listed at "MA Step 21"; Emily Belmontes as a Paraprofessional Library at $18.00 an hour; and Lindsey Beck as a First Grade Teacher (BA Step 0). The consent agenda also records Michael Mendez and Ida Frazier as paraprofessionals at the Intermediate Center, with Frazier listed at $22.00 an hour.
The consent agenda recorded an internal transfer: David Kozlowski moved from SIC to Head Custodian at Columbia Central School. Resignations noted on the consent agenda included Janine Ziarko, Special Education Teacher, effective July 21, 2025, and Jeanelle Hughes, Computer Application Teacher, effective July 29, 2025. The district also listed Maria Aranda Moreno as a substitute food service worker on the consent slate.
By approving the consent agenda, the Board completed routine personnel business ahead of the start of the school year; the personnel items will take effect as listed in the minutes.
