The Goliad ISD Board approved an update to Lone Star Governance (LSG) Goal 3, covering College, Career and Military Readiness (CCMR), and monitoring for Superintendent Constraint 2 (facility inspections) at its Jan. 13 meeting.
LSG Coach Lisa Moya reported the board's time tracker from the Dec. 9, 2024 meeting showed 19.81% of board time spent on student outcomes; Brittany Salazar and High School Counselor Kelsey Garcia presented that the number of graduating students meeting CCMR increased 56 percent. Superintendent Holly Lyon reviewed ongoing facility inspections tied to the constraint. On a motion by Jason Howard, seconded by Daniel San Miguel, the board voted to approve the Goal 3 progress measures and the constraint monitoring; the motion carried 7-0.
Board members did not record dissent; the approval establishes the district's monitoring posture for CCMR and facilities as staff continue program and schedule reviews for next school year.
