Staff invites public to airport terminal open house Thursday; Spanish interpretation available

Assistant county manager Ryan Mahoney, joining the meeting remotely, told council that staff and the airport-design team will host a public open house on Thursday, Oct. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hoffman Hotel to present initial concepts for a terminal and ground-transportation center.
"We will have Spanish interpretation as well," Mahoney said, encouraging community feedback and noting the process remains at an early, concept stage. He said the task force had its first meeting on Oct. 15 in Aspen and that additional open houses will be held in the valley as the design process continues.
Mayor Richards thanked Mahoney and encouraged public participation at the Hoffman Hotel event. Staff representatives later confirmed additional outreach and a later down-valley open house.
