At the Jan. 13, 2025 Forney ISD board meeting, multiple recognitions highlighted student and staff accomplishments and community partnerships. Kristin Zastoupil opened recognitions with School Board Recognition Month; Dr. Stormy Lemond presented a Texas Educational Theatre Association District Award of Distinction; Neal Weaver recognized student athletic academic all-state honorees and the THSCA Super Elite Water Polo Team; and Jenae Glanton noted Texas Thespians national qualifiers and the Trailblazer Award.
Leslie Rader presented the Forney Academy to Certify Teachers recognition and Robyn Pearce acknowledged Opportunity Central partnerships. The recognitions were ceremonial and no board action was required; they were followed by a short recess.
