District outlines attendance push; officials cite home visits, roundups and incentives

Mr. Kramer described his outreach operations: sending 100–150 emails daily, conducting nearly 400 home visits this year, filing approximately 100 cases in JP court for students with more than 15 unexcused absences, and hosting attendance roundups with incentives from local donors. "So far this year, I have filed a 100 cases with the JP's court," he said.
Kramer described attendance roundups, incentives (gift cards from Chick-fil-A and Papa John's), weekly bragging-rights trophies and personalized awards that he credits with raising attendance after the events. He also said the district will apply for a weather waiver for a severe storm day that should modestly increase the ADA figure when approved. Trustees asked clarifying questions and thanked staff for the programs.
