FLOUR BLUFF ISD honors regional science fair winners across campuses

FLOUR BLUFF ISD trustees recognized student placings from the Coastal Bend Regional Science Fair and celebrated UIL and campus competition successes across ECC, primary, elementary and intermediate campuses.
The Flour Bluff Independent School District recognized a slate of student accomplishments from the Regional Coastal Bend Science Fair and recent UIL events, officials said.
At the campus-level presentation, staff highlighted kindergarten winners from the ECC: Cooper Janssen (2nd place), Juliana Paz Duleta (3rd place) and Reina Ramirez (3rd place). "Please join me in congratulating these 3 young scientists," a district staff member said during the meeting. Primary and elementary campuses also reported multiple regional placings across physics, math, biology and chemistry categories and described strong UIL participation.
Teachers and coaches who supported those entries were acknowledged. Mrs. Darsa and Mrs. Moss introduced intermediate and 5th-grade qualifiers who advanced to regionals at Texas A&M Corpus Christi; one student, Nivan Cartwright, received a naval science award at the regional level. "They really did work hard for this," one teacher said of the students.
The board applauded the students and coaches and noted campus and district staff coordination that helped take projects from campus fairs to regionals. District leaders said full results and supporting materials will be posted with the district reports.
