Groesbeck ISD approves procurement path, contractor and engineers for HVAC improvements

The Groesbeck ISD board moved multiple contract- and procurement-related items for the Groesbeck ISD HVAC Mechanical Improvements Project at its May 18 meeting. Trustees voted to adopt job order contracting as the procurement method and then approved Lockridge‑Priest, Inc. as contractor and Gessner Engineering, LLC as engineer for the HVAC work. The board also adopted a prevailing wage rate for the project.
In addition, trustees passed a resolution delegating authority to the superintendent to work with the district’s legal counsel to negotiate necessary construction contracts for the HVAC project, with the superintendent to provide regular updates to the board and present final contracts for board approval. Each motion was carried unanimously by the trustees present.
