Nursery ISD asks Goliad ISD to serve as secondary high-school destination for its students

Superintendent Larry Gajewskey of Nursery ISD presented a proposal at the Goliad ISD board meeting on Dec. 9 that Nursery ISD would designate Goliad ISD as the district its students attend for grades 9–12. "He proposed that Nursery ISD students would attend Goliad ISD once they reached 9-12th grade," the public record states.
Gajewskey told trustees that Nursery ISD currently educates through sixth grade and that students in grades 7–12 now attend neighboring districts, often Cuero ISD. He said Nursery ISD would like Goliad ISD to provide those secondary educational services if both districts reach an agreement. The board did not record a vote or action on a binding agreement in the portion of the public record provided.
