Trotier said the Park & Rec board is implementing extra precautions for youth programs: coaches, referees and staff who interact with children must be fingerprinted and must wear and display badges/IDs at all times. She announced an Electronic Recycling Event scheduled for Saturday, June 28 at Village Green Plaza (3231 Chicago Rd.) and asked for volunteers who can lift heavier items; volunteers may register at FDESK@VILLAGEOFSTEGER.ORG or by calling 708-754-3395.
Trotier thanked returning and new volunteers and encouraged families to sign up for spring programs.
