The board took several licensing actions on May 5. Trustees approved a new business license for Zeldenrust Farm Market at 117 E. 231st Street, pending inspections. Trustee Perchinski moved approval and Trustee Thurmond seconded; roll call recorded ayes from Kaminski, Stewart, Thurmond, Trotier and Perchinski.
A separate matter involved a proposed business license for Up in Smoke at 3502 Chicago Road; that application was tabled until the Committee of the Whole meets after the May 19 board meeting. The tabling motion passed on roll call with Kaminski, Stewart, Thurmond and Trotier voting aye; Trustee Perchinski voted no.
Lucky 777s Gaming Café at 3444 Chicago Road initially appeared before the board and the owner described the business would be similar to the prior occupant, offering beer and wine but no food. The owner said she could bring in food to comply with the ordinance that requires a set amount of food sales. Trustee Thurmond rescinded his motion to table, after which Trustee Perchinski moved to approve the Lucky 777s business license pending inspections and Trustee Trotier seconded. The board then approved a Beer and Wine Liquor License for Lucky 777s, both actions recorded with ayes from Kaminski, Stewart, Trotier and Perchinski; Trustee Thurmond voted no on both measures.
Trustee Perchinski moved to table a new business license for Blue Smoke at 14 E. 33rd Place because Up in Smoke was tabled; Trustee Stewart seconded. Voice vote was taken and all ayes were recorded. All approvals noted in the minutes are conditioned on pending inspections where required.
