Trustees voted unanimously on Aug. 26 to table consideration of buying a 2021, 20‑foot, tandem‑axle gooseneck trailer priced at $42,700 for the Hale Center High School band program. Troy McGann moved to table the purchase and Heath Huffhines seconded; the motion passed 5–0.
The minutes note that David Rogers will continue to look for other options. Until a decision is reached, band equipment will continue to be transported using a rented U‑Haul. The minutes do not specify whether additional fundraising or budget sources will be sought for a future purchase.
