The board approved multiple vendor- and contract-related actions at the Aug. 12 meeting. Troy McGann moved to cancel the district's contract with A+ Food Service Consulting, LLC; the motion passed 6–0. Separately, the board authorized the acting superintendent to enter into a staffing agreement with Texas School Services effective Sept. 1, 2024 (motion by Michael Gonzales) and approved a five-year Customer Service Agreement with Uni-First Corporation for custodial supplies (motion by Meranda Sierra seconded by Troy McGann). All votes were unanimous.
Minutes do not include contract dollar amounts, termination reasons beyond the single-line cancellation, or staffing-service terms. The board also approved adding the acting superintendent to district banking accounts (TXPOOL, VISTA Bank, VISA) to facilitate financial operations; no account numbers or further bank details were recorded in the minutes.
