Alma approves CAPX2020 funds for grills and picnic tables; park camera installed

Parks & Recreation Chair Davie Meier reported that a camera has been installed on Pine Street to help monitor animal feces and that new bathroom signs are in place at the beach. Meier said work to place rip rap at Rieck's Park is waiting clearance or coordination with Water Trade.
The committee recommended purchasing two covered grills using $560 of CAPX2020 funds and four picnic tables at a cost of $4,889.67; the council approved both purchases. Meier said new grills were discussed for Rieck’s Park and Buena Vista and that the shelter at the beach remains in a staking and contracting stage.
The committee also approved a fishing tournament application and is continuing contractor coordination on park shelter siting.
