The Parks & Recreation Committee on April 14 reported several active but unresolved maintenance and site-preparation items to the full council on April 16.
Chairperson Davie Meier said the rip rap at Rieck's Park is tabled while staff determine whether the project qualifies for the water trade program. The pavilion project at the beach will be reviewed at a future meeting to prepare the site, bathroom signs for the beach have been ordered and are in production, and a decision about beach-house floor and wall coatings was tabled until members can assess their condition. Meier also said picnic-table procurement will be discussed next meeting and noted that trees next to the Buena Vista bathrooms have been cut down.
No formal spending decisions were recorded in Parks & Recreation minutes at the April 16 council meeting; several items were deferred for further review.
