Hays CISD board approves consent agenda with multiple curriculum and assessment purchases

Board President Byron Severance led the motion to approve the consent agenda; the motion passed 7–0 with all trustees voting yes.
The approved items include purchase of Tier 1 math instructional materials (STEMscopes – Accelerate Learning), Amplify Boost Reading Program software, Open Court workbooks and digital phonics licenses for grades K–2 (McGraw Hill), the online universal screener NWEA MAP Growth for elementary, middle and high school campuses, and a Special Education Digital Assessment Library from NCS Pearson along with SuccessEd (Frontline) for IEP and 504 management. Board records note there were no trustee questions on these items. Board President Severance said, "President Severance moved that the Hays CISD Board of Trustees approve the consent agenda, as presented." The transcript also records that the Schoology (PowerSchool) learning management system item was pulled and "may be brought back to the Board for approval at a later date."
