Hawkins ISD board approves consent agenda, moves January meeting and casts appraisal district votes

The Hawkins Independent School District Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda and several routine administrative actions at a Dec. 1 regular meeting. The board voted unanimously to accept minutes from Nov. 3 and Nov. 12, 2025, a memorandum of understanding with FBC Hawkins and a mutual assistance agreement with Winona ISD.
The board also voted unanimously to move the January regular meeting to Jan. 12, 2026, and to cast all 566 Hawkins ISD votes for Al Harris for the Board of Directors of the Wood County Appraisal District. The motions were moved and seconded by board members and passed with six members present in favor.
Board Secretary Scott McKamie and other trustees participated in the votes. No public opposition or comment was recorded in the minutes for these items. The consent approvals were captured in the official motion: "All six members present were in favor and the motion passed unanimously."
