Board approves District Improvement Plan, ESL waivers, new courses and Sick Leave Bank policy

Trustees approved several policy and program items in a package of motions. The District Improvement Plan (DIP) was approved in a motion by Ryan Bludau, seconded by Dennis Herring; the ESL waiver requests were approved in a motion by Brian Henneke, seconded by Justin Smith. The board also approved innovative courses to be offered at the high school campus and granted early release on Nov. 19, 2024 to host a UIL speaking event at HES.
In addition, the board approved the Sick Leave Bank Policy and passed "CNA (EXHIBIT), Exhibit B – Resolution of the Board Regarding Hazardous Traffic Conditions." Each listed motion passed unanimously, 6-0, and the minutes do not record dissent or requests for amendment.
