Adam Littman, administrator for Channel Lloyd Water and Sewer, told the board the water plant generator project is complete and the plant operated independently from the grid for two recent test Mondays without issue. He said production runs about 11 hours per day and the utility continues clarifier maintenance on Unit 1 and is awaiting a company assessment of centrifuge controls.
Littman also said the Department of Health-required sampling for harmful algae on raw water has not detected an event. Road crew and utility staff completed vegetation and spillway maintenance on Reservoirs 4 and 5; DEC inspectors were on-site and commented that things looked good. Littman said wastewater flows were affected by recent rain (I&I) but the plant stayed in compliance for July.
