The Hudson ISD Board of Trustees voted to approve a Shared Services Arrangement (interlocal cooperative) with the Lufkin Regional Day School Program for the Deaf to provide special education services during the 2026–27 school year. The motion passed unanimously (6–0, Penn absent).
Separately, the board approved a contracted services agreement with Amy Dickson to provide Orientation and Mobility instruction for special education students for 2026–27. Trustees said these agreements ensure the district will have access to specialized services for students with hearing and mobility needs next school year.
