Board approves legal retainer, SRO agreement amendment and District of Innovation change
Summary
At the Sept. 15 meeting the Hondo ISD board approved the district's legal services retainer for 2025–26, an amendment to the City of Hondo SRO agreement, and an amendment to the District of Innovation plan; all passed unanimously.
Superintendent Rose Mary Mares presented a package of governance items the board approved on Sept. 15, including the legal services retainer for Walsh Gallegos Trevino Kyle & Robinson P.C. for the 2025–2026 school year, an amendment to the City of Hondo SRO agreement, and an amendment to the District of Innovation plan.
Each item was moved, seconded and recorded as passed with all trustees voting in favor. The meeting minutes identify the motions and the firms/agreements involved but do not include text of the SRO amendment or the DOI changes in the public record.
