After reconvening from a closed session on Aug. 20, the Highland Park ISD Board of Trustees approved an amendment to the superintendent's contract.
Vice President Bryce Benson moved to amend the superintendent's contract as discussed in closed session and to give the Board President authority to execute the amended contract on behalf of the Board. Trustee Ellen Lee seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The minutes do not disclose the contract terms discussed in closed session beyond the board's motion and authorization to execute the amendment.
Because the substance of closed-session deliberations on personnel is not reported in the public minutes, the only public action recorded is the board's unanimous vote to approve the amendment and to empower the President to sign the contract on behalf of the Board.
