At the May 19 board meeting, Interim Assistant Superintendent for Business Services Scott Drillette provided a budget update showing year-end projections that indicate a surplus for fiscal 2025–26 and an unassigned fund balance above the recommended five-month minimum. Drillette reviewed revenues and expenditures compared to the adopted budget and discussed historical trends influencing the result.
He also outlined early planning assumptions for the 2026–27 budget year, including enrollment projections, expectations for taxable property values and investment earnings, and the role of community support such as Bond 2024, the Golden Pennies election and PTA/PTO contributions. No budget amendments were adopted at the meeting; the presentation was received as information.
