Jourdanton Independent School District officials held a public hearing on Dec. 9, 2024 in the Central Office Board Room where Business Manager Angie Balaszi presented the district's Financial Management Report and said the district received a Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) score of 96. President Barbara Peeler called the hearing to order at 6:00 PM; a quorum of trustees was present.
Balaszi walked the board through the data used for the FIRST calculation and reported the district's score of 96, which the district recorded as a superior rating under FIRST. The board reiterated its public-comment procedures under Board Policy BED, noting a five-minute limit per speaker for regular meetings, and no members of the public addressed the board during this hearing. President Peeler adjourned the public hearing at 6:10 PM. The minutes list Jan. 13, 2025 as the dates the minutes were approved and signed.
