The Barre Town Board received an update that two planning-board co-chairs met with consultant Ed Flynn to finalize the town's comprehensive plan; once returned to the planning board it will be reviewed publicly and then forwarded to the county. Chair said the board will present the plan at a future public meeting once the planning board completes its review.
On infrastructure, members discussed Water District 10 matters and a proposed new water tower. The town met with Murray to explore whether Murray would participate; board members said if Murray opts to contract with Monroe Water it could take about five years to complete related work. The board also reviewed outreach on grant writing and next steps to qualify for forthcoming grant rounds.
