Don Allen, the town assessor, reported the property reassessment valuation phase is complete and the reassessment project remains on schedule.
Allen said, "Notices are scheduled to be mailed on Friday, March 13 or shortly thereafter," and that property owners will have an informal review period through mid-April. He noted the formal grievance process is available after notices and that the board of assessment review will meet pursuant to New York State real property tax law on the fourth Tuesday in May (05/26/2026).
Allen encouraged owners with questions or concerns to contact the assessment office during the informal review period; after May 1 owners will also have the option to file a formal grievance with the board of assessment review.
