Nurse Jenifer Carnley delivered the annual Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) report and recommended Alisha Smith, Brandy Musick, Corinna Allen, Trustee Kirstin Johnson and Trustee Lauren Glover as SHAC members for the 2026–27 school year. Trustee Rusty Mauldin moved to approve the slate; Trustee Joey Romano seconded and the motion passed 7‑0.
Carnley then explained updates to the district’s Cardiac Emergency Response Plan and presented a Medication for Respiratory Distress Standing Order and Protocol. The board approved both as presented: the cardiac plan on a motion by Trustee Joey Romano, seconded by Trustee Kirstin Johnson, and the respiratory medication protocol on a motion by Trustee Joey Romano, seconded by Trustee Lauren Glover. Both motions carried 7‑0.
These actions formalize the district’s emergency response and on‑site treatment protocols for cardiac and respiratory incidents and ensure SHAC membership for the coming school year.
