4‑H building at Southwest Washington Fairgrounds renovated with Department of Commerce grant

Matt Butana, capital infrastructure specialist, described the 4‑H project as an ongoing renovation that started last year through WSDA work to "redo, the majority of the 4 H building." He said the south end was reroofed and resided and that interior work included new asphalt and other cosmetic fixes to make the space safer and more usable for 4‑H participants.
Butana said the fairgrounds secured targeted funding to support that work: "We were successful in securing a grant from the Department of Commerce for the 4 h center." Officials characterized the rehabilitation as central to giving children a clean, safe space to work and to supporting programming at the fairgrounds.
