The Jasper Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved its consent agenda during the Nov. 11 regular meeting. Mark Durand moved to approve the items and Steve Few seconded; the motion carried 6-0.
The consent list included the minutes from the Oct. 7 meeting, one transfer student for 2024–25, a donation to Jasper athletics from the Jasper Hospital Board earmarked for a medical tent, and the October Tax Collection Report. The tax report recorded a budgeted amount of $9,756,509, current month collections of $92,196 and year-to-date collections of $175,541. The board also approved Budget Amendment 24-4 to record appropriations for outstanding purchase orders totaling $1,760,329.17 and to record Bond Fund appropriations for architect and construction costs during 2024–25.
The approval was completed by unanimous vote, 6-0, with Mark Durand making the motion and Steve Few seconding. No public comments were recorded during the open forum that preceded the vote.
