South Miami trustees adopt FY2026 budget and approve consent agenda unanimously

Sierra (staff) presented the proposed fiscal-year-2026 budget and requested a motion to adopt. A trustee moved, the motion was seconded and the board voted unanimously to adopt the FY2026 budget.
Later the board considered the consent agenda, including warrants 52 and 53 and the fund activity report for the period noted in the packet. Trustees discussed the Foster & Foster invoice in the consent packet and were invited to raise questions; no questions were raised that required removal of an item. A motion to approve the consent agenda was made and seconded and passed unanimously.
Chair Brad Cassell reminded trustees to review packet details, in particular the Foster & Foster invoice that outlines actuarial and administrative tasks, and invited trustees to ask staff for explanations of any line items they do not understand.
