Student representative Mateo reports theater success, trips and postseason sports

Mateo, the student representative, told the board that the drama club's opening-night performances of Hadestown were successful and that the cast will continue shows Feb. 27 through March 1. He said student government and staff are planning an educational trip for March 9 through 14 and that Degas Scribe state qualifiers will attend the Rochester Convention Center March 5 through 7.
Mateo also congratulated student-athletes: girls' varsity sectional basketball scheduled Feb. 26 with semifinals March 4 if they advance, and indoor track and field sectionals and state qualifiers occurring Feb. 25. The board thanked Mateo and other student leaders; no action followed.
