Keller ISD adopts Amplify for K-5 and Savas for secondary math; $3.7M from TIMA

District curriculum staff presented the results of a year-long adoption process involving 58 committee members and classroom pilots. "For grades kindergarten through 5th grade, the committee indicated a clear preference for the vendor Amplify with 61% of members selecting it as their top choice," staff said; for grades 6 through Algebra II, Savas emerged as the committee's preferred secondary resource.
Teachers who piloted the materials described hands-on student engagement, built-in differentiation, and time-saving curricular materials. "As a first grade teacher ... I was really able to see the student engagement," one teacher said. The administration recommended adoption beginning in August 2026 and stated the cost would be paid from TIMA adoption funds and not the general fund. The board approved the adoption by unanimous vote (5-0).
