The Keller ISD board approved a slate of purchases exceeding $25,000 and adopted the annual investment report and policy on Sept. 24. Administration said two large roofing projects (Central High School and Timber Creek High School) would be paid with insurance funds, not the general fund, and other items included security upgrades funded by grants and HVAC repairs covered by budgeted funds.
Administration explained the district earned $5,500,000 in investment income for fiscal year 2025, with a portfolio market value of about $123 million as of June 30 and an average pool return of 4.74%. The investment report and policy were approved unanimously, as were the purchases listed in the board packet (votes recorded 7'00). Trustees asked clarifying questions about funding sources for specific items and the value of the ERG subscription for financial and academic benchmarking.
