La Villa ISD board approves Jan. 13 minutes and consent agenda, including budget amendment

La Villa ISD Board President David Alaniz called the Feb. 25 meeting to order at 6:36 p.m. and the board moved quickly to routine business, voting to approve the Regular School Board Meeting Minutes of Jan. 13, 2025.
"Mr. Muñoz recommended to the board to approve Regular School Board Meeting Minutes of January 13, 2025 as presented," Superintendent Robert Muñoz told the board before members voted. Gilbert Hinojosa III moved to approve the minutes, Eduardo Garcia Jr. seconded, and President Alaniz called the vote; all members present voted in favor and the motion carried.
The board then considered the consent agenda, which included the District Expense Report for January 2025; a Comparison of Revenues to Budget report (information only); the Tax Report for December 2024; and a functional budget amendment. Superintendent Muñoz recommended approval of the grouped items. "Mr. Muñoz recommended to the board to approve the Consent Agenda as presented," the minutes record. Gilbert Hinojosa III moved and Eduardo Garcia Jr. seconded; the vote was unanimous and the consent agenda was adopted.
The board membership recorded as present at the time of these votes included President David Alaniz, Eduardo Garcia Jr., Sonia M. Lopez, Gilbert Hinojosa III, and Noe Castillo (who arrived at 6:43 p.m.). Two trustees, Marianna Reyna and Yesenia Morales, were absent.
