La Vega ISD board adopts 2024–25 budget and approves tax rate

Board minutes record that a public hearing on the proposed budget and tax rate was held and that “there were no public comments or questions.” The board also approved the monthly budget analysis report earlier in the meeting on a unanimous vote.
The approved budget will govern the district’s revenues and appropriations for the coming school year; the minutes do not specify a total dollar amount or the split between maintenance and operations versus debt service. The board entered a short closed session later in the evening to discuss personnel matters and adjourned at 8:46 p.m.
