Amanda Peterson, vice chair and member of the Comprehensive Plan Committee, told the board the survey draft had received final changes and that staffer Amy had made cosmetic edits. Peterson said she completed a cost analysis for printing and would deliver an estimate to Town Supervisor Robert Sullivan within two days; if approved, she planned to run and assemble the mailing packets over the weekend and hold a “stuffing party” early next week to get materials out to residents.
Peterson said the consultant identified two target workshop windows: one in July—when she estimated roughly half of mailed surveys would be returned—and a final workshop in September after most responses are expected. The board asked staff to expand the comprehensive plan page on the town website and to run a website metrics report to share with the Town Board and Planning Board. The board also instructed staff to research online polling options to support community engagement.
The steps set a clear timeline: finalize printing once the supervisor approves the estimate, mail the surveys, then hold the July and September workshops to solicit community feedback for the plan.
