At its Nov. 20 meeting, the Keller ISD board approved several administrative and calendar items, including employment recommendations for new leadership positions and two calendar items required for instruction and public-information planning.
Administration asked the board to approve contractual employment recommendations for Josh Boyd (principal, Keller Collegiate Academy), Shannon Crawford (director of curriculum and instruction), and Dr. Aramee Cottle (assistant superintendent of elementary education). Trustees approved the slate by voice vote; shortly after the vote, the district invited the new administrators and their families to the podium for recognition.
The board also approved the district's 2026–27 instructional calendar, which incorporates feedback from staff and the calendar committee. Notable adjustments include designating Good Friday, March 26, 2027, as an EQ day and moving the last day of student attendance to Wednesday, March 26, 2027, with teachers finishing Thursday, March 27, 2027. Trustees approved the instructional calendar 6–0.
Separately, the board approved the 2026 local calendar for purposes of the Texas Public Information Act (HB 3033) which allows the district to designate up to 10 non-business days. Administration said no changes were made to the local calendar since it was previewed in November; trustees approved that calendar 6–0 as well.
