Board approves construction contracts and receives notifications on major capital purchases

The Board approved two construction contracts to complete summer work on district facilities. Administration selected American Constructors under Job Order Contract JOC 23-137 to complete Lakeway Elementary parking lot improvements at a contract value of $169,814 (scope: paving, restriping, handrails, stairs and delineators). Trustee Jonathan Bove moved and Trustee Kris Woodcock seconded the motion; approval passed 7–0.
Trustees also approved American Constructors under JOC 23-138 for kitchen renovations at the Bridges 18+ program Cottage for $136,372; the project includes demolition of cabinetry and installation of a second kitchen station and District-purchased appliances. The Board received three information-only notifications of budgeted purchases over $100,000: Lake Travis Middle School track resurfacing by Hellas ($161,686), Hudson Bend Middle School fire alarm upgrades by Western State Fire Protection Company ($389,374), and PAC/Black Box/Recital Hall AV upgrades ($220,372).
