Lake Travis ISD honors student champions in esports, SkillsUSA, VASE and DECA

Lake Travis ISD recognized student achievements across Esports, SkillsUSA, VASE, Scholastic Art & Writing, DECA, LEAPS, and UIL golf during the May 20 board meeting, highlighting state and national-level finishes and program growth since October 2025.
Lake Travis Independent School District honored a string of student accomplishments at the May 20 board meeting, including a second-place finish for the Lake Travis High School Marvel Rivals Esports team at the Texas Scholastic Esports Federation Undisputed State Championship (May 1–3, Waco). The district noted the Esports program launched in October 2025 with the opening of the D100 esports facility at Lake Travis High School.
The Board also recognized notable performances at state and national competitions: Lake Travis High School SkillsUSA students earned awards in 11 events at the 2026 Texas State Leadership & Skills Conference (April 8–11, Corpus Christi), with two teams qualifying for the national conference. Visual arts students received Gold Seal distinctions at the 2026 State VASE competition, and several students earned National Gold Key honors in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and will be honored at Carnegie Hall in June. DECA competitors posted top-11 international finishes in multiple events, the LEAPS Club brought home state medals, and the UIL 6A boys golf team placed third at the state tournament (April 27–28).
