A school district teaching permit is valid only within the issuing district and only for teaching assignments. The board's presentation emphasized that new employees hired under the permit must complete 20 hours of classroom management training before assignment. The motion to approve was moved by Trustee Bruce Smith and seconded by Trustee Aaron Appleby; the vote was recorded as 6-0.
