Lake Dallas ISD board approves 2026-27 employee pay increases

The Lake Dallas Independent School District Board of Trustees voted 6-0 on June 22 to approve the district's 2026-27 Employee Compensation Plan. Superintendent Dr. Kristin N. Brown presented the proposal at the meeting and the board adopted the recommended increases intended to keep pay competitive for the coming school year.
Under the approved plan, teachers will receive a 2% market-based increase tied to the average market median salary; administrative and professional pay grades will receive a 2% midpoint increase; and clerical, paraprofessional and auxiliary staff will receive a 3% midpoint increase. Board minutes record the motion to approve the plan was moved by Trustee Aaron Appleby and seconded by Trustee Scott Baird. The board recorded a unanimous 6-0 vote to adopt the plan for the 2026-27 school year.
