Board awards child nutrition contract, approves labor financing and corrective action plan

At its July 9 meeting, the Chazy Union Free School District Board awarded the district’s child nutrition contract for the 2025–26 school year to The Abbey Group of Enosburg Falls, VT, authorizing the board president and superintendent to execute the contract.
The board also approved financing for the contract between the board and the Chazy Central Rural School CSEA Unit 6456, effective July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2029; Mr. Barcomb recorded an abstention on that vote. Separately, the board approved the Corrective Action Plan dated Dec. 4, 2024 addressing findings from the 2023–24 financial audit.
