The Chazy Union Free School District Board of Education elected Daniel Bernard as Board President for the 2025–26 school year during its July 9 reorganization meeting. Mrs. LaPierre moved the nomination and Mr. Giroux seconded; the motion "Resolved that the Board of Education recommends Dan Bernard to be elected President of the Board of Education of this District for the 2025-2026 school year" was adopted and the District Clerk administered the Oath of Faithful Performance in Office.
The board also elected Craig Giroux as vice president and Jason Bruce as clerk, each via motion and unanimous approval, and the District Clerk administered the oath to each newly appointed officer. The board completed the organizational votes early in the meeting, formally establishing leadership for the coming school year.
